SOCIAL DISTANCE PROTOCOLS (BASED ON EVOLVING OHA GUIDELINES)

2021 HTC/PTC comprehensive social distance safety plan and protocols are subject to change based off of recommendations from the Oregon Health Authority. Guidelines are subject to change, please visit back to our website regularly for the latest plans. We follow OHA Guidelines and continually update event plans based on the expanding re-opening schedule. Our top priority is preserving participant and volunteer safety as we ensure a safe and inspiring 2021 race:

  • Start waves every 5 minutes over 13 hours!
  • Non-vaccinated participants carry face-coverings (and utilize them within six-feet of other participants), while running or walking their assigned legs.
  • Contactless Team Check-In for Local Teams via HTC App at Start Area (who pick up event bag at Packet Pickup)
  • Increased portable toilets, hand-washing stations and sanitizers.
  • Clear, inclusively designed signage, reducing the number of volunteers on course where necessitated at Start, Exchanges, Finish.
  • Volunteers are provided with a new reflective vest to keep (and mask) to wear during shift.
