RIDES

There are three course distances to maximize the views, riding experience and safety for cyclists of every level. At the end of all routes, we will host an event expo, music, beer garden and food carts at the Wasco County Fairgrounds.

The metric century ride starts with a climb out of Historic Tygh Valley and circles around the Pine Hollow Reservoir for the best views of Mt. Hood on the East Side. The ride then proceeds down to the Fairgrounds and follows a loop past White River Falls, Shearar Falls and along the Deschutes River before stopping at the future Maupin Deschutes River Athletic Complex. The 3-mile climb out of Maupin will take you to the Juniper Flats to then speed down toward the Wasco County Fairgrounds. 61 Mile Ride With GPS
The 39 mile ride has gentle rolling hills, spectacular views along the Deschutes River,  goes through the heart of Maupin and has a great spot to refuel at the future home of the Maupin Deschutes River Athletic Complex before a 3-mile climb out of town. Once you are on the Juniper Flats, the views of the cascade mountains surrounding the cyclists will keep the legs spinning all the way back to the Wasco County Fairgrounds. 39 Mile Route Map

This 20 mile ride takes you along the Deschutes River for the entire second half. With a total elevation loss of 965 feet, this course is perfect for families, beginers, and riders just wanting to get back into the swing of it.  Enjoy the views and make a stop at the White River Falls State Park before beginning your largest decent. Catch a shuttle back to Wasco County Fairgrounds to enjoy the Finish Festivities. 20 Mile Route Map

FUNDRAISING

Support local youth sports and activities in rural communities...

The Maupin Area Chamber Endowment (MACE) supports the local community to fund development projects such as the Deschutes River Athletic Complex (DRAC). Following last year’s 2021 Ride The Rapids event, the foundation was laid and a track was built! The vision of a world-class athletic complex came to life in rural Maupin, Oregon. This year’s fundraising efforts will go toward further developing DRAC and the mission remains the same:

Support local youth sports and activities in rural communities.

The Brain Injury Alliance of Oregon is the only statewide 501(c)(3), not-for-profit association, dedicated to creating a better future through brain injury prevention, resource facilitation, education, advocacy, peer mentoring and support groups.

Create a better future through brain injury prevention, advocacy, and support.

Fundraising Requirement

Each rider pays a $50 registration fee and is asked to fundraise a minimum of $100 to support the mission of MACE and Brain Injury Alliance of Oregon. You can donate during the initial registration process OR you can share your individual fundraising page to collect donations.

Want to work together with other riders to fundraise? Creating/Joining fundraising teams is also an option! Set a fundraising goal with a group of riders and share your fundraising page with your network to crush your goals!

*All donations are 100% tax deductible. Contributors will receive a donation receipt with the Tax-ID following the donation.
